Mapillary’s scale in action
We learned that Mapillary now processes more than one million crowdsourced street‑level images every day, rapidly expanding both the density and temporal depth of global urban imagery. This capability is instrumental for AI‑driven spatial modeling—an area central to our ongoing research on urban vitality and landscape sustainability.
Inspiration from art–tech convergence
Interactive installations throughout the office highlighted Meta’s commitment to creative experimentation. These exhibits sparked fresh ideas about how visual storytelling can enhance public engagement with complex urban data.

The visit reaffirmed our shared vision of harnessing large‑scale imagery and advanced AI for smarter, greener cities. We look forward to deepening our collaboration with Meta and Mapillary—combining academic rigor with industry innovation to push the boundaries of urban analytics! ✨
