🥂 It is a great opportunity to meet many excellent scholars in person we have followed on various academic platforms for a long time. Thrilled to present our team’s recent research at the #2024ACSP Annual Conference in Seattle: “Defining Urban Vitality Using Image-based, Text-based, and GPS Data” under the guidance of my supervisor Dr. Keunhyun Park. By analyzing 200,000 social media images and 2 million comments, we reexamined urban vitality across ten major cities in the U.S. and Canada, focusing on metrics like visitor visitation, activity diversity, and user preferences.

Over three days, multiple sessions and roundtables explored the applications of AI, large language models, computer vision, and wearable technology in urban science. As discussed, “Breaking down machine learning results to identify, verify, and apply patterns to investigate each component’s specific impact is both a challenge and an opportunity in urban and landscape science.“
See you next year in Minneapolis! ✨
